Yeah, had a few rough years.  And Erik my eMac is currently collecting dust my same old desk, she died about a year ago, won't turn on anymore.  Got a silver iMac and white MacBook since.

Sorta getting back into games now, but no Live yet, can't afford 'er.  I see some old faces here already.  Good to see you all.  Just getting back to society now and figured I'd see if there was any old funxbox life left here.  The name just came to my mind..."Javolis...he had like, a forum...geek something."  Google did the rest.

Yeah, I can't find any jobs here.  Short of call centers for 8 dollars an hour there's just nothing left in Atlantic Canada.  Everyone I know who isn't dead or in jail or rehab is out west in Alberta working in the oil sands and I just refuse to travel that far for work.  I am in the same bedroom that I was posting from as Cheesy on the FXB forums.  Not much has changed...my girl is with me and we have semi-lives and go out every now and then but if any of you remember the pictures I used to post you'll know it's basically the middle of nowhere.  Super boring.

Finished high school online and took a year journalism course online that I just finished in November.  It it hasn't gotten me anywhere but it's an accomplishment.  Hopefully I can land some sort of clerical work or something minor with the local paper.  Now I basically go to doctor's appointments, drink tea and coffee and watch hours of movies and play a little 360 when it feels like working (open tray error, I need to smack in the disc tray several times for it to read a disc.)  I figured if I haven't gotten anywhere I might as well come back here and see how far anyone else has gotten.

Oh yeah, got hit by a car with my gf and had surgery on my shoulder and she broke her pelvis.  That was in 07 I think.  Then got in a major car accident with her in 08, again we survived.  Survived 2 rounds of heavy pharmaceutical opiate addiction (a Cape Breton trademark nowadays).  So yeah I've basically been lucky since I last saw you guys.  Really really lucky.

Oh yeah, the gf won 500 dollars at bingo last week.  Wooooo!

Sorry to hear about your accidents, I know how those go. I was in one last march. I hit a boar in the middle of no where with my RX-8, slide off the road and flipped the car several times. We narrowly missed a concrete power pole (4 feet in width!), rolled over and broke a dead tree and ended up upside down on a dirt road on the other side of the fence. Not only did I get lucky with that, I wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Now I have a scar on my forehead that looks like a blocky 3, Somehow I managed to cut my funny bone nerve and lost feeling in my pinky. However that has slowly returned over the year.

Other than that, I'm a software engineer now. I play soccer every sunday with guys that work for EA Tiburon. They guys i play with work on Madden, ncaa football, and the new mma game. And they allow me to gget any ea game, brand new for $20. I've met some cool people in Orlando. And I spend most of my time chasing girls, reading and partying.

Oh, and I've nearly died twice Scuba Diving. So you and I are both very very lucky.

I'm mainly focusing now on writing a pamphlet about the effects of pharmaceutical drug abuse in our community.  The abuse of oxycodone and hydromorphone has overwhelmed Cape Breton Island and has become an epidemic.  I'm trying to raise some attention to the issue now.

Other than that I like pharmacology a lot and intend to write more about it.  I would love to write movie and game reviews someday.
