Neat. It's a traditon of mine to get things well after their initial release because Apple is famous for sneaking in these upgrades and drastically lowering the price after a year or less. I learned that lesson with the eMac. Got the bottom-o-the-line model and it cost 1100 plus tax CDN, which came to like almost 1500. Had a shit CD-ROM drive and I had to spend money to get an exterior LaCie DVD-R drive along with it...another few hundred. 2 months later the SuperDrive eMac cost 999 CDN. I was truly disgusted. Now it's a piece of junk, won't turn on. Got the white iMac, 3 or 4 months later...SILVER ONE comes out. I traded it to my Mom for a spankin new MacBook, 2 months go by ALLUMINUM ONE comes out. So I waited awhile for the iPod. I just went bottom of the line again with an 8 gig.
It's getting ridiculous, to the point where I (almost) don't want to spend money on them anymore. If I quit asking for these little toys and just banked the money they costed I would be in my own house right now...probably with an iPhone.
The curve is nice and very functional but it's a brick for me since no one calls, or everyone who does call I don't wanna talk to. The themes are garbage, the internet is garbage, everything costs money to download andif it doesn't it's a 30 day trail. I hate it. I only keep it around because it's my only phone. I don't text, tweet or any other nonsense. Heh, but I can say I own one.
The MacBook is the only thing I use every single day. Great for writing and school work. Other than listen to music when I'm drunk or youtubing, forum-ing, wikipedia etc. and burning movies and playing poker it's also a brick. Nothing I own reaches full potential. I've had a 360 since they came out and didn't even know you could just sign into Xbox Live Silver and chat with people. No idea.
Someone needs to educate me on this stuff. I've been in a coma for 5 years and I'm just now waking up and discovering all these bricks in my room. The espresso machine gets used every few hours though (or in today's case every 10 minutes) so that was a fine investment.
I missed you guys. <3
