Clarification:
Did we go in 1969 on Apollo 11?
I personally think we didn't. I believe we've been there since but the technology was not advanced enough in '69 to pass the Val Allen radiation belts with live astronauts inside. It was a publicity stunt to win the arms race with Russia.

Nope, it's not, but honestly I don't care if we did or didn't. I mean, if it did happen like it did, we got pretty lucky, but on the other hand, we could make it there now. It doesn't even matter in the end if it was a hoax or not, you know? If it was, I give the US props, and if it wasn't, well I still give the US props.
